Nametag Bukkit for Minecraft

There is a fact that when we are always looking to something that never changes day by day it sometimes bores us more or less depending on what content it includes. And the case I am refering is the Nametag of items in Minecraft. We are surely get used to the white text descriptions and the purple background of items everytime we make a mouse point at those items. It is seemingly the thing that most Minecrafters do not even take a moment to think of but some do. So today I introduce to you the Nametag Bukkit for Minecraft in which those monotonous text descriptions can be easily customized in our wanted way in a very simple princicple.

Nametag is a seamless and convenient way to rename your items in Minecraft and give them a more precise and brief descriptions. All of this can merely be done with a couple of commands, and it’s rather easy to do. Moreover, the best part is that the italics and purple text which is applied by anvils and the /give command are gone, so your custom named and described items look like they are in vanilla. Cool, isn’t it?

Main features included:

  • Rename items
  • Give items one-line tooltip descriptions
  • Supports spaces
  • Color Code Support
  • Allows colored custom names for mobs by renaming spawn egg or name tag
  • Full permission support
Commands:
  • /nametag rename <name> – Sets the item’s name to the one specified
  • /nametag describe <description> – Sets the items’ description to the one specified
Permissions:

Opped players have access to all the permissions specified :
